2017 (Junior)
As a junior, Beason went 12-11 in the circle with 23 starts and 32 appearances with 11 complete games, 8 shutouts and 57 strikeouts ... Was 6th in the MVC in ERA (2.37) and had the fifth-best ERA in conference games (2.22) ... Cracked national rankings in two categories -- 22nd in shutouts (8) and 145th in ERA (2.37) ... Also notched a pair of saves and led the club in innings pitched (156.1) ... On April 10, she was named MVC Pitcher of the Week after a solid effort in the Indiana State series in which she was 1-0 in two starts with a 0.58 ERA, including a near no-hitter (into the 7th) in the series opener ... Drove in season-high 4 runs, including walk-off homer at UMKC (March 5) ... Also homered at UMKC on March 3 ... Struck out season-high 7 batters vs. Jacksonville State (March 10) ... Beason started 17 games in the circle, making 25 total appearances ... Played in 50 games and batted .246 with eight home runs, 31 RBI and drew a team-high 19 walks ... Six of her eight home runs came in games in which she was the pitcher of record ... In the circle, she led the staff with a 3.39 ERA, going 8-10 with eight complete games and two shutouts ... Pitched a career-long 9.0 innings in her first start of the year against Detroit (Feb. 12) ... Tossed a complete-game three-hit shutout in victory over Northern Colorado (Feb. 14) ... Earned the win in a complete game effort over Mercer (Feb. 27), the first of four-consecutive appearances resulting in a victory ... Collected the win with four shutdown frames at Northern Iowa (April 24) ... Shut out Evansville on five hits in a complete-game win (April 29) ... Allowed just one hit in victory over Indiana State to lock up a spot in the MVC Tournament (May 7) ... Began the season at the plate with a 3-for-4 performance that included two doubles, two runs scored and four RBI ... Went 2-for-3 with a double and an RBI in win against Mercer (Feb. 26) ... Was hit by a pitch three times and drew another walk while scoring a run against Southern Illinois (April 9) ... Drove in a pair of runs with a long ball in series finale versus SIU (April 10) ... Slugged solo home runs against conference foes UNI (April 23) and Indiana State (May 7 & 8) ... Drove in two runs in win over Bradley in MVC Tournament (May 12) ... 2015 (Freshman)
Beason pitched in eight games with two starts and played in a total of 38 games in her first season at MSU ... In the first outing of her career, she pitched 1.1 innings with two strikeouts to earn the save against Abilene Christian (Feb. 6) ... Her first career hit came later that day and was a home run against Louisiana Monroe (Feb. 6), a game in which she clubbed two home runs in a 3-for-3 outing ... She earned the win with 6.0 strong innings and drew a walk while driving in a run in a win over Arkansas-Pine Bluff (Feb. 7) ... Scored a run and drove in another in win at Louisiana Tech (Feb. 8) ... Picked up a pinch hit single against Eastern Michigan (Feb. 13) ... hit a double among two hits in game two at McNeese State (Feb. 20) ... Drove in a run in the game against Iowa (Feb. 22) ... Had a walk and an RBI in the middle game of the Indiana State series (March 28) ... Recorded a hit in each of the final two games against Evansville (April 4-5) including a solo home run in the series finale ... Walked and scored a run in the opener of the Loyola series (April 11) ... Had a pinch hit at Tulsa (April 29).
 
Background
Was a four-year standout for head coach Walter Resa at Webb City (Mo.) High ... A three-time Central Ozark Conference Player of the Year, she led her Cardinals to four-consecutive undefeated seasons in conference play and the district title in each of her seasons ... Led Webb City to the Class 4 state championship game as a senior after third-place finishes at state in her freshman and sophomore seasons ... Earned all-conference, all-district, and all-region accolades in each of her four seasons and picked up all-state honors three times ... In the circle, she had an ERA below 1.00 in three seasons and struck out 165 batters in 126 innings as a senior with a perfect game ... At the plate, Beason slammed 27 career home runs, drove in 164 runs and hit .400 or better in all four seasons ... Won the 2012 16U ASA National Championship with Tulsa Elite ‘95.
