On the Pitch
- Missouri State returns home Thursday to host Jacksonville State in its Conference USA home opener. Kickoff is set for 1:30 p.m. CT at Betty & Bobby Allison South Stadium. The match will also serve as the Bears' annual Pink Out.
- The Bears enter Thursday 3-6-1 overall and 0-1-0 in CUSA play following a 1-0 loss at Delaware in their conference opener Sunday.
- Missouri State and Delaware were even at 10 shots apiece Sunday, with the Blue Hens breaking a scoreless tie in the 58th minute for the only goal of the match.
- The Bears generated seven of their 10 shots and six corner kicks in the opening half against Delaware. Kate Lewis made four saves in goal.
- Missouri State is 3-1-1 at Allison South Stadium this season. All three of the Bears' victories have come on their home field.

- Ellie Neath ranks second on the team with seven points and leads the Bears with three assists. She has recorded two goals and three assists this season.
- Lewis has collected 38 saves through 10 matches, ranking fifth in Conference USA in total saves and sixth with 3.80 saves per game. She has also recorded three shutouts.
- Missouri State averages 1.30 assists per game, which ranks third in Conference USA, while its 13 total assists rank fifth in the league.
- The Bears have put 38 of their 82 shots on goal for a .463 shot accuracy, ranking sixth in CUSA.
- Five of Missouri State's nine non-conference matches came against Power Four opponents: Kansas, Kansas State, Missouri, Iowa State and Iowa. The Bears earned a 1-0 victory over Missouri during that stretch.
- Thursday marks just the second all-time meeting between Missouri State and Jacksonville State and the first matchup between the programs in Springfield.
- Missouri State won the inaugural meeting, 1-0, last season in Jacksonville, Ala. Emma Shields scored the game-winning goal in the 50th minute to give the Bears their first Conference USA victory.
- Jacksonville State enters Thursday 3-6-2 overall and 0-1-0 in CUSA play after a 2-0 loss to Middle Tennessee. The Gamecocks are 1-4-1 away from home this season.
- Missouri State was picked second in the CUSA Preseason Coaches' Poll with 62 points, while Jacksonville State was selected 10th with 12 points.
