•     The 12th ranked Missouri State Bears are back at home to face the No. 16 Kansas City Roos for a nationally ranked showdown on Wednesday, Sept. 16 at 6:00 p.m. (CT).
•   The Bears are back in action after five season-opening victories against Quinnipiac, Penn State, Chicago State, UC Irvine, and FIU.
•   The Bears lead the series against the Roos 24-7-2. The most recent meeting went in favor of the Roos with a 2-1 scoreline on 8/25/25 on the road. The last time the two squads met in Springfield, it was part of the NCAA Tournament with the Roos winning 2-1 on 11/24/24.
•   Mo State is ranked 12th in the United Soccer Coaches poll, marking the 9th consecutive season the Bears have been ranked inside the top 25.
•   The Bears sit in first place in the American Conference standings.
•   The Bears are one of only three teams in the nation with a perfect record (1.000 win percentage) along with Old Dominion (7-0-0) and South Carolina (6-0-0).
•   The Bears are off to their best start to a season since 2020-21 when they went a perfect 9-0 to kick off the season.
•   The Bears are ranked 9th in the nation and 1st in the American Conference for goal differential (11), 10th in the nation and 1st in the American Conference for goals per game (3.00), and 13th in the nation and 1st in the American Conference for points per game (8.40).
•   The Bears have come back from a one-goal deficit on three occasions this season, and for the past two games.
•     Diego Real was again honored with an American Conference Honorable Mention on 9/14/26.
•   The Bears look to improve on a 6-6-4 (3-3-2) record from last season.
•   Missouri State finished in fourth place in the 2026 American Men's Soccer Preseason Coaches' Poll behind Charlotte, Florida Atlantic, and South Florida.
•   The Bears are looking to add a fifth conference tournament championship trophy to their cabinet (1999, 2020-21, 2021, 2022) and their first as a member of the American Athletic Conference. The Bears have an all-time record of 24-22-8 in the conference tournament play.
•    Since the beginning of the 2019 season, Missouri State holds the best Division I overall record of 94-21-14 (.783), second-best conference record of 50-6-6 (.855) and fifth-best home record of 54-9-7 (.822).
•     The Bears are in their second season in the American Conference in 2026 after spending 34 seasons in the Missouri Valley. Mo State enjoyed plenty of success in the MVC, with the program's 12 regular season championships, four conference tournament crowns and nine NCAA Tournament appearances all coming since 1997.
