First and Ten Notes
- Missouri State concludes a two-game home stand Saturday when the Bears entertain Marshall in a nationally-televised showdown on CBS Sports Network. The 5:30 p.m. tilt is the highlight of Family Weekend and will also include halftime recognition of the 2026-27 Hall of Fame class which includes former football standouts Dylan Cole (2013-16) and Cody Kirby (2007-10).
- MoState is 21-9 (.700) in its last 30 home games, dating back to March 13, 2021. In that span, the Bears have scored two or more touchdowns 27 times and scored 30 or more points 21 times. Â
- LB Jared "Bird" Lloyd (5th, Daytona Beach, Fla.) has posted double-figure tackles in three of the last five games, including a career-high 13 stops in the season opener at Texas A&M. The Preseason All-CUSA standout ranks No. 1 in Conference USA in tackles per game (9.5) which is tied for 24th in FBS. He also ranks 20th nationally in solo tackles per game (5.50) and 26th in tackles for loss per game (1.50).
- Missouri State's defense has allowed just two plays of 20 or more yards this season, ranking 19th in the FBS ranks in fewest chunk plays surrendered, which is tied for tops in CUSA (with Middle Tennessee).
- Missouri State's 6 rushing touchdowns in its Week 2 win over Lindenwood marked the club's most ground scores since producing 7 ground scores in a high-scoring 72-59 loss at Murray State (10/9/10). Â
- In Mo State's Week 2 win, Ramone Green Jr. (Sr., Nixa, Mo.) set career highs for rushing attempts (12), rushing yards (80) and rushing touchdowns (2) to lead all players in the Bears' 48-14 victory.
- WR Jmariyae Robinson (5th, Cocoa, Fla.) has caught a pass in a school-record 37 consecutive games, dating back to Sept. 1, 2023. With 16 career TD receptions, he needs 2 more touchdowns to match the squad's career record (18), held by Steve Newbold (1977-80) and Jeff Hewitt (1998-00). Robinson also ranks No. 5 on Mo State's career receptions list (137) and No. 10 in career receiving yards (1,776).
- CB Joel Boamah (Sr., Newark, N.J.) ranks 20th in FBS (3rd in CUSA) in passes defended per game (1.50).
- In last week's home win over Lindenwood, fifth-year QB Skyler Locklear (Clayton, N.C.) eclipsed 4,000 yards of total offense for his career (25 games). He completed 17-of-20 passes for a school-record .850 completion percentage along with 258 passing yards and a TD vs. Lindenwood. He now ranks 51st nationally (3rd in CUSA) in completion percentage (.676).
- Missouri State and Marshall have both allowed just 2.0 sacks this season, which ties the squads for 34th nationally in fewest sacks allowed through two games.
- As a team, Missouri State ranks 40th nationally in pass completion percentage (.690) which is third-best in Conference USA. Last week's .840 team completion percentage (21-of-25) was the second-best single-game performance in club history.
- WR Isaiah Myers (5th, Cincinnati, Ohio) had a breakout game last week vs. Lindenwood, racking up career highs in receptions (5) and receiving yardage (155) with a pair of scores (one receiving, one rushing). His receiving total marked the most yards by a Bear since 2023 (160, Raylen Sharpe).Â
