The Starting Lineup
  • Missouri State concludes its five-game home stand on Tuesday evening (5:00 p.m., ESPN+) with a visit from SIUE. Tuesday's game marks the final home midweek matchup for Mo State this season.  
  • The Bears are 3-8 all-time against the Cougars, but own a 3-1 record in Springfield in the series. The two teams last met a year ago (3/11/25) in Edwardsville with SIUE winning 9-5. 
  • Head coach Kasey Griffith spent her playing career at SIUE (182 games from 2008-11). She was a shortstop for three seasons before moving to third base as a senior, and when she graduated she ranked 5th all-time in career home runs (18).

The freshman hurler ranks 40th nationally with 3 shutouts. Her 9 wins on the season are tied for 5th in CUSA and she is 6th in the league with 75 strikeouts. Koranda is a two-time CUSA Freshman of the Week this season. 
  • 1B Riley Baber (So, Overland Park, Kan.) is leading the way for Missouri State offensively this season with a .347 batting average, 11 doubles (T-3rd in CUSA, 84th nationally) and 4 home runs. She has reached base in 5 straight games, the longest active streak on the team, and leads Mo State with 4 multi-RBI games this season.
  • Catcher Alexis Perales (Jr., Grapevine, Texas) ranks 4th in CUSA and 116th nationally in caught stealing by, throwing out 6 baserunners this season. She was a second-team All-MVC selection a year ago behind the plate.
