RUSTON, La. – Missouri State's baseball game at Louisiana Tech Friday evening has been suspended due to lightning near J.C. Love Field on the LA Tech campus with the Bulldogs leading 8-2 in the seventh inning. It will resume at 1 p.m. Saturday with the regularly-scheduled Saturday game to follow.

LA Tech jumped on the Bears early with a six-run first that included four doubles and a triple and added a solo homer in the second to make it 7-0.

The Bears scored on a
Curry Sutherland sacrifice fly in the fourth that followed
Caden Bogenpohl's leadoff double and advancement on a wild pitch, and got a solo home run from
Carter Bergman (12
th) in the fifth for a 7-2 deficit.

The Bulldogs had a pair of two-out singles around a walk in the sixth to push the margin to 8-2 with their first hits since the second inning.

Mo State freshman
Adyn Schell pitched a career-long three innings of relief and yielded just the second-inning homer.

Bryce Cermenelli extended his hitting streak to 22 games with a single in the third.

The game will resume with two outs in the top of the seventh with Bergman at the plate and a 0-0 count.
