On the Mat
• Missouri State Acrobatics and Tumbling returns to Hammons Student Center on Friday, Feb. 27 at 6:00 p.m. to host No. 15 La Salle. Admission is free for all fans.
• Friday's meet marks Missouri State's final home competition until April 9, when the Bears host Morgan State in the Battle of the Bears, which will also serve as senior night.
• Missouri State enters the weekend riding momentum after posting a program-record team score of 245.130 in its most recent outing against No. 5 Augustana and Presbyterian. The total marked the second consecutive meet the Bears set a new program high.
• The Bears earned their first victory of the season in the tri-meet, defeating Presbyterian while continuing to close the gap with nationally ranked opponents.
• Missouri State opened the last meet with a 34.850 in compulsory, highlighted by a 9.700 in the pyramid heat. The Bears followed with a 26.300 in acro and a 26.450 in pyramid, capped by a 9.800 in the pyramid open heat.
• In the second half, Missouri State posted a 26.400 in toss and a 49.500 in tumbling.
• The Bears closed the meet with an 81.630 in the team event to secure the record-setting total, continuing an upward scoring trend across all six events this season.
• Missouri State has produced multiple 9.000-plus scores in key heats early in the year, including a 9.800 in pyramid and several high-scoring tumbling passes.
• Friday will be the first meeting between Missouri State and La Salle. The Explorers enter the weekend ranked No. 15 nationally, giving the Bears another opportunity to measure progress against a ranked opponent.
• With two record-setting performances already this season, Missouri State will look to build on its momentum and continue elevating its team score in front of the home crowd Friday night.
