
Shiloh Cross Earns Freshman of the Week Honors

DALLAS, Texas - Missouri State track and field freshman Shiloh Cross has been named Conference USA Women's Freshman of the Week, the league announced Tuesday, becoming the Bears' first track and field athlete to earn a conference weekly honor this season.
Cross received the recognition after a strong showing in the triple jump at the Woo Pig Classic in Fayetteville, Ark. The freshman recorded a mark of 12.15 meters to place fifth overall in the event against a competitive field.
Her performance also secured a place in the Missouri State record book, as the 12.15-meter jump ranks ninth all-time in program history.
Missouri State returns to action Feb. 13-14, traveling to Pittsburg, Kan., for the Gorilla Classic hosted by Pittsburg State.
