DALLAS, Texas – Missouri State goalkeeper Ella Becker has been named Conference USA Goalkeeper of the Week, the league office announced Tuesday. Becker becomes the first student-athlete in Missouri State women's soccer history to earn a CUSA weekly award since the program's move into the conference this fall.

Becker anchored the Bears to a 0-0 road draw at Liberty on Sept. 19, recording six saves and playing the full 90 minutes in goal. Her shutout performance preserved Missouri State's first-ever point in Conference USA play.

The veteran keeper's effort came against a Flames squad that generated 13 total shots, including six on frame. She turned away multiple quality looks in both halves to secure her third shutout of the season.

The Bears (3-5-2, 0-0-1 CUSA) return to action on Thursday as they face the Jacksonville State Gamecocks in a 6 p.m. road match.
