Christian Rischer played 36 holes of one-under-par golf to pace the Missouri State men's golf team at the Git-R-Done Invitational at Firethorn Country Club on Monday (Sept. 22). The Columbia, Mo. native shot 72-71--143 to settle in a tie for 23rd place entering Tuesday's final round.
As a team, MSU enters the final round in 12th place after posting 296-301--597. Host Nebraska has the team lead at 549, 12 in front of second-place Kansas State and its 561. Iowa State (562), Wichita State (565) and Sam Houston State (567) round out the top five.
Individually, senior
Tim Holmberg is second for the Bears and tied for 56th overall after carding 72-79--151. Freshmen
Noah Naugle and
Pedro Gallegos are 62nd and 63rd, respectively, after Naugle shot 72-82--154 and Gallegos had 80-75--155. Junior
Owen Swearingen is 65th with 80-76--156.
