Baseball Bears in Summer Leagues

SPRINGFIELD – Collegiate summer leagues are in full swing and a number of 2025 Bears and incoming players are participating around the country.

All stats are through July 8. Not all team members elected to play in summer leagues.

Cape Cod League
Caden Bogenpohl, Cotuit Kettleers
Since arriving in New England in late June, Bogenpohl leads Cotuit with a .440 on-base percentage in seven games. He is hitting .263 with a home run, six RBIs and six walks.

MLB Draft League

Taeg Gollert,
Williamsport Crosscutters
Gollert ranks second on his team with a .875 OPS and is hitting .300 with one homer, four doubles and nine RBIs in 16 games.


Appalachian League

Logan Dunn,
Johnson City Doughboys
In 17 games, Dunn is second on the club with a .339 average with four extra-base hits, seven RBIs and 11 runs scored.


Logan Fyffe,
Johnson City Doughboys
Fyffe ranks second on the club with 19 RBIs and first with 26 hits this summer. He owns a .310 average with eight doubles and a triple in 20 games.


Charlie Spoonhour,
Elizabethton River Riders
Spoonhour leads Elizabethton with nine appearances and owns a 3.86 ERA in 14 innings pitched. He has seven strikeouts while holding opponents to a .245 average.


Wyatt Vincent,
Pulaski River Turtles
The incoming freshman from Nixa is 6-for-26 with five RBIs in seven games while going 5-for-5 in stolen base attempts.


Coastal Plain League

Curry Sutherland,
Peninsula Pilots
Sutherland is hitting .276 with three homers and seven RBIs on offense and has pitched 11 innings with a 1.63 ERA and 11 strikeouts against just seven hits allowed.


Prospect League

Sam Maclaughlin,
Cape Catfish
Maclaughlin is 2-0 in three starts, going 15.2 innings with 10 strikeouts and a 1.15 ERA. The southpaw fired 6.2 shutout frames on June 25 against the Alton River Dragons.


Drew Wedgeworth,
Cape Catfish
Wedgeworth has been dominant out of the bullpen, throwing 10 innings in five relief appearances with a 0.90 ERA, 12 strikeouts and a 0.50 WHIP.


Michael Callahan,
O'Fallon Hoots
An incoming freshman from Wildwood, Mo., Callahan is batting .286 with a home run and 15 RBIs in 29 games while going 19-for-21 in stolen base attempts.
