On the Mat

Missouri State acrobatics and tumbling will close out its inaugural season on the road for the Battle of the MSU Bears at Morgan State on Thursday, April 11 at 5:00 p.m. in Baltimore, Md.
In their second season of competition, Morgan State has a record of 2-5.
The Battle of the MSU Bears will be an annual competition between the two teams. Both Morgan State and Missouri State use the Bear as a mascot and use the abbreviation MSU. This year's meet will be livestreamed on Morgan State All-Access.
MoState has been on an uptick this season with heat and event scores rising with each meet. In the first three meets of the season, the Bears averaged a score of 138.458. Since their final home meet against No. 1 Baylor, they have averaged a score of 202.685.
Last time on the mat, Missouri State lost to No. 4 Augustana, 258.915-200.440. In the pyramid event, the Bears earned their highest event score so far this season with 24.55 out of a starting score of 27.80. In each heat MoState scored a 9.00 or above for the first time this season.
The Bears earned their first win in program history on March 31 with a 202.560-188.365 win over East Texas Baptist.
