Final Results

IOWA CITY, Iowa -- The Missouri State men's golf team finished 13th on Monday (Apr. 14) at the Hawkeye Invitational at Finkbine Golf Course. The Bears posted 302-294-310--906 in their final tune-up for next week's Missouri Valley Conference Championship in Des Moines, Iowa.

Kansas went wire-to-wire to take the team title with 837, while Illinois State rallied to take second with 856 and host Iowa finished third in the 13-team field with 857.

Junior Tim Holmberg led the way for MSU, closing with a 74 on Monday and finishing in a tie for 34th with a 223 total. Senior Ludvig Wijkstrom and sophomore Owen Swearingen tied for 46th at 226, and junior Christian Rischer and sophomore Andrew Fallis tied for 69th at 236.

The Bears will travel to the Des Moines Golf and Country Club for the MVC Tournament next Sunday thru Tuesday (Apr. 20-22).
