SPRINGFIELD – Missouri State women's basketball head coach
Beth Cunningham announced today the signing of transfer Zoe Canfield. Canfield has three years of eligibility remaining.
The 5-11 guard spent last season at the University of Kansas, where she appeared in 15 games and earned one start. She averaged 1.7 points per game and went 8-for-16 from beyond the arc as a freshman at KU. Canfield's best performance in her freshman campaign featured a 12-point (4-5 3FG) outing at Kansas State.
A native of Topeka, Kan., Canfield was a two-sport athlete at Washburn Rural High School, playing both basketball and volleyball. She helped lead the Junior Blues to a state title in basketball in 2022 and two runner-up finishes during her high school career. Canfield was a three-time all-state selection, which included a first-team honor in 2024. She also won a state championship in volleyball in 2022 and was named to the all-tournament team.
Canfield hails from an athletic family with her brother Jett playing basketball at Creighton from 2018-21. Additionally, her parents were athletes at Washburn as her father Jordan played basketball from 1992-96 and her mother Eileen played volleyball and softball from 1992-96.
Cunningham on Canfield:
"We couldn't be more excited to have Zoe join our program. We loved her out of high school and are thrilled to now have her as a Lady Bear. Zoe's work ethic, versatility, ability to score and stretch the floor and her winning mentality will immediately impact our program."
