Missouri State (13-13, 5-1 Missouri Valley Conference) continues a stretch of seven consecutive Tuesday games against Power Four competition when Oklahoma State (12-13) visits Hammons Field for a 6:30 p.m. game.
The Bears have scored 89 runs in their last seven games and have hit at a blistering pace all season at Hammons Field, averaging 10.5 runs per game with a .320 batting average and .620 slugging percentage in 14 home games.
After the OSU game, the Bears head to Southern Illinois for a weekend series between the two teams tied for first in the MVC standings.

2) MoState is 9-22 all-time against OSU with a 4-6 home record. The Cowboys have won the last five meetings. OSU won its last trip to Hammons Field, 12-10 on Feb. 28, 2023, though MSU slugged 10 extra-base hits.

3) The Bears have homered in 127 of the last 157 games, and rank 12th nationally with 358 long balls since the beginning of the 2022 season, when first-year head coach Joey     Hawkins took over as hitting coach. MoState's 114 homers last season ranked second in school and fourth in MVC history.

4) Zack Stewart (38), Nick Rodriguez (25,) Caden Bogenpohl (24) and Taeg Gollert (23) and all have at least 23 homers in their MSU careers, and the current roster has combined for 158 round-trippers in their time at MoState.

5) Missouri State's pitching staff leads the MVC and ranks 52nd nationally with 9.6 strikeouts per nine innings. The Bears' 2.31 K/BB ratio also leads the Valley and ranks 63rd nationally.
Jackson Holmes, Max Knight and Michael Yusypchuk have earned MVC Pitcher of the Week honors this season, while Tyler Charlton (2nd - 40), Yusypchuk (3rd - 38) and Holmes (6th - 35) are all in the top six in strikeouts. Knight, meanwhile, is the only Division I player with at least 10 pitching appearances and 25 RBIs.

6) Several Bears are climbing MSU career charts. Taeg Gollert currently sits ninth in school history with 49 career doubles and 18th with 73 extra-base hits. Zack Stewart is 10th on career homers (38) and 19th with 72 extra-base hits. Nick Rodriguez ranks 14th in MoState history with 93 career walks.

7) Four former Freshman All-Americans are on the MSU roster. Nick Rodriguez received the honor in 2022 at Charleston Southern, Garrett Ferguson and Zack Stewart each landed on multiple such teams for MSU in 2023, and Caden Bogenpohl did the same last year for the Bears.

8) D1Baseball tabbed the Bears as the favorite to win the MVC this season, with sophomore Caden Bogenpohl as its preseason player of the year and Michael Yusypchuk as its freshman of the year. The MVC coaches poll was released on March 17 and also tabs the Bears to win, with Bogenpohl and Nick Rodriguez earning all-MVC honors.

9) The 2025 season will be Missouri State's 35th and final year in the MVC. The university accepted an invitation to Conference USA on May 10, 2024, and will officially join that league on July 1, 2025. The baseball Bears own the most league wins (476) and highest MVC winning percentage (.582) of any current league school with six regular season championships and five tournament titles in 34 seasons.
