JONESBORO, Ark. – Missouri State yielded just four singles to Arkansas State Tuesday afternoon at Tomlinson Stadium, but three of those drove in runs and helped the Red Wolves to a 3-2 victory over the Bears on a day with winds consistently blowing in from center field at 20-plus miles per hour.

ASU (10-10) scored in the third, fifth and seventh innings, getting the leadoff man on in each, advancing the runner with a sacrifice bunt and scoring on a single.

The Bears (7-12) scored in the top of the third when
Tyler Epstein hit a leadoff double and scored on Bonita Bonilla's first career hit.

The Red Wolves scored the next two runs and the Bears tied it at 2-2 in the sixth when
Nick Rodriguez drove in
Taeg Gollert with a single.

MoState stranded runners on second and third in the decisive seventh inning, with A-State scoring the go-ahead run after the Bears' missed opportunity.

Jason Schaaf gave the Bears a solid start, going 4.2 innings and allowing two runs on three hits in a no decision.
