On the Mat

Missouri State acrobatics and tumbling will continue its home stand with a visit from No. 15 Duquesne on Saturday, Feb. 22 at 5:00 p.m. Admission is free at Hammons Student Center.
Duquesne opened its season by knocking off No. 3 Gannon (253.060-251.320) then defeating West Liberty (252.515-239.795).
Both the Dukes and Bears are in their inaugural seasons.
Missouri State is still chasing its first win meet win, but it has yet to lose a pyramid event and yet to lose the synchronized pyramid heat. In their most recent meet against No. 11 Augustana, the Bears outscored to Vikings 26.60-25.90 in the pyramid event.
MoState's tallies are rising. From the first meet of the season to the second, the Bears recorded an increased score in 14 heats they competed in.
A reunion will be in store for head coach Kimberlee Adkins as she competed at Gannon with Duquesne's head coach Michaela Soper.
