SPRINGFIELD – Missouri State acrobatics and tumbling fell to No. 11 Augustana at home on Saturday, 261.300-144.675.

In their first-ever home meet, the Bears won the pyramid event with a score of 26.60 out of 28.70 points possible. MoState received only 2.10 points worth of deductions for the event, its lowest of the day for an event. The Bears won the second heat of the pyramid event with a score of 8.25 to Augustana's 6.75. It was Missouri State's only heat win of the meet. In the third heat, the Bears received their smallest heat deduction of the day with only .45 points taken off for a heat score of 9.15 out of 9.50.

In the toss event, the Bears were only deducted 2.75 points for a score of 24.10.

Once again, Missouri State saw minimal deductions in the three solo tumbling heats. In the aerial pass,
EllaRose Gosier earned a score of 8.75 out of 9.025.
Rebekah McNeely earned a score of 8.35 out of 9.30 in the 6-element pass, and
Harrison Fiene closed out tumbling with a score of 8.00 out of 9.675 in the open pass.

The Bears elected not to compete in the team event.

Missouri State will be back at home on Saturday, Feb. 22 at 5:00 p.m. to face No. 15 Duquesne. Admission will be free all season at Hammons Student Center.
