A&T Bears Host No. 11 Augustana in First Home Meet

On the Mat
- Missouri State acrobatics and tumbling will host its first-ever home meet on Saturday, Feb. 15 at 3:00 p.m. when No. 11 Augustana comes to Hammons Student Center. Admission is free.
- Augustana will open its season in Springfield. The Bears will make the trip up to South Dakota on April 5 to face the Viking again.
- The Bears opened their season last week with a tri-meet against Bluefield State and Presbyterian. MoState elected to not compete in the team event which caused the Bears to just barely lose to Bluefield State. Through five events, the Bears tallied 130.325 points.
- In it's first-ever A&T meet, Missouri State won one event and two heats. The Bears won the pyramid event with 26.20 points and only 2.20 points worth of deductions. They won the second heat in the pyramid which is the synchronized pyramid with a score of 8.20.
- EllaRose Gosier (Fr., Gray, Ga.) earned her first solo heat win in the fourth heat of the tumbling event. She scored 8.375 points with an 8.75 start value.
- The Bears will debut their team event on Saturday. The team event combines elements from the previous five events. Head coach Kimberlee Adkins choreographed a routine paying homage to Greene County, Mo. native, Chappell Roan.
