The Lady Bear Necessities
  • Missouri State women's basketball continues its four-game home stand as the Lady Bears welcome Arkansas to Great Southern Bank Arena on Saturday afternoon (1:00 p.m.). MoState is coming off its first home loss of the season, a 73-70 overtime defeat to Kansas last Sunday.
  • Saturday marks the 28th meeting between the Lady Bears and the Razorbacks and the first meeting since the 2016-17 season. MoState has won the two most recent meetings, but is just 5-9 against Arkansas in Springfield.
  • Home Court Advantage - Since the beginning of the 2017-18 season, MSU has compiled a 99-15 record inside Great Southern Bank Arena, while boasting a 78-9 record since the start of the 2019-20 season. Under Beth Cunningham, the Lady Bears are 42-7 at home.
  • Kaemyn Bekemeier (Jr., Republic, Mo.) leads the way for the Lady Bears this season, averaging 16.9 points and 8.1 rebounds per game. She leads the team with 16 triples and is shooting .815 from the free throw line (53-65). The guard ranks 1st in CUSA in free throws made and points (169), which rank 10th and 59th in the nation, respectively.
  • Lainie Douglas (So., Overland Park, Kan.) has averaged 17.0 points over the last four games, going 27-for-41 (.659) from the field in that span. She ranks 1st in CUSA and 26th nationally in field goal percentage this season (.589). Defensively, she leads CUSA and ranks 49th in the nation with 16 blocks.
  • As a team, Missouri State ranks inside the top 15 nationally in: free throw attempts per game (9th - 25.0) and free throws made per game (11th - 17.8).
  • In the Cunningham era, Missouri State is 50-7 when scoring 70+ points, 54-1 when holding opponents to 65 points or less and 42-0 when opponents score less than 60 points.
  • MoState is currently 119 in the NET rankings, which ranks third amongst CUSA teams (Liberty - 97, Sam Houston - 104).
  • The 2025-26 Lady Bear squad features seven returners and seven newcomers in a new-look lineup that replaces all five of its starters from a year ago. MoState lost 69.2 percent of its scoring and 60.9 percent of its rebounding from last season.
  • The Lady Bears were picked to finish fourth in their first season as a member of Conference USA in the league's preseason poll. MoState slotted in behind Louisiana Tech, Liberty and Middle Tennessee. Little Rock transfer Lee was selected to the CUSA Preseason All-Conference Team. Lee was an All-OVC first-team member a season ago after averaging 14.2 points per game for the Trojans, and she averaged 19.7 points in three career games against Missouri State.
