Cross Checking the Bears
Missouri State women's cross country continues its impressive 2025 campaign this week as the Bears travel to Peoria, Ill. for the Bradley Pink Classic on Friday, Oct. 17. The women's 6K white race is set for a 12:45 p.m. start with 6 Missouri State runners, and the Red Race will be held at 2:15 p.m., which will include 10 Mo State runners. Both Races will be held at Newman Golf Course.
The meet will serve as the Bears' final regular season test before the Conference USA Championships.
Missouri State enters Peoria on a strong trajectory after placing fifth out of 31 teams at the Chile Pepper Festival on Oct. 4, finishing behind Texas, No. 22 Arkansas, Stephen F. Austin and Rice. The Bears' balanced lineup once again showcased its depth as five runners finished in the top 50.
Junior
Tabitha Fox paced the team in Fayetteville with a standout time of 17:13.10, which ranks fourth-fastest in school history, while
Madilyn Moore (17:20.00) and
Elsa Henry (17:27.80) also recorded all-time top-10 marks.
Ella Cronhardt (17:33.80) and
Ella Rew (17:41.10) rounded out the scoring five as the Bears recorded their third straight top-five team finish.
Through three meets, Missouri State has shown remarkable consistency, posting back-to-back team victories at the Redhawks Invitational and Queen City Twilight before its strong performance in Fayetteville. Moore, Fox and Cronhardt have each led the team once this season, highlighting the group's versatility and depth.
As the Bears take on the longer 6K distance for the first time this fall, they will look to carry their early season momentum into Peoria and continue building toward the postseason.
