Men's Golf Tied for Lead at Tennessee State

OLD HICKORY, Tenn. -- The Missouri State men's golf team is in the thick of the hunt for the team title after 36 holes at the TSU Big Blue Intercollegiate in suburban Nashville. The Bears are tied with Austin Peay for the top spot after posting 285-290--575 in Monday's (Apr. 8) 36 holes at the President's Reserve Course at Hermitage Golf Course, while three teams are lurking just a shot behind at 576 -- Belmont, Samford and SIU Edwardsville.

Three Bears are tied for sixth entering Tuesday's final round -- seniors Hampus Wijkstrom, Max Kreikemeier and Eric Schuessler -- all at three-under-par 141. Wijkstrom carded 69-72, Kreikemeier had 72-69 and Schuessler shot 68-73. Junior Ludvig Wijkstrom is tied for 61st with 76-79--155, one better than sophomore Christian Rischer, who posted 80-76--156. Freshman Andrew Fallis, playing as an individual, sits in a tie for 52nd after shooting 79-74--153.

Tuesday's final round is scheduled for an 8:30 a.m. EDT start.
