GREENWOOD, Ind. – The Missouri State women's tennis team had four players selected to the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District Team, the organization announced today.

Alyson Piskulic,
Juliette Robinson and
Mary Houston all made the Academic All-District Team for District 6, which includes Arkansas, Iowa, Louisiana, Minnesota, Mississippi, Missouri, Montana, North Dakota, South Dakota, Wisconsin and Wyoming.
Cabrera and Piskulic led the way for the Bears, both carrying 4.0 GPA's. The senior duo won 13 matches as a doubles pair, the most of any Bear. The pair also brought home Missouri Valley Conference Doubles Team of the Week honors on March 15 after back-to-back wins in flight one.
In singles, Cabrera held the No. 1 position all spring, earning six wins coupled with five victories in the fall. Additionally, the Southwest Baptist transfer placed second at No. 1 singles at the 2022 MVC Individual Championship and is pursuing a Master of Business Administration.
Piskulic garnered nine total wins in singles, with seven of them coming in duals. The Cell and Molecular Biology major began the spring on a hot streak, winning her first three singles matches and six out-of-her first seven contests (Jan. 27 – Feb. 23).
Rounding out the selections are Robinson and Houston. As a doubles squad, the duo accounted for three MVC wins, while Robinson earned 12 total wins in doubles action, failing to drop a match in five consecutive duals (March 4-18). Houston, with partner

In singles, Robinson picked up six wins, all in the spring, and the Finance major earned Valley Singles Player of the Week honors on Feb. 15 after three-straight victories (Feb. 4-12).
Houston racked up seven out-of-her eight singles victories in the spring, finishing off the season a winner of three out-of-her five final matches, all coming against MVC opponents in the No. 3 spot. The junior is pursuing a degree in English Education.
The academic all-district selections advance to the CSC Academic All-America ballot, and honorees will be announced June 1. To be eligible, student-athletes must be a starter or important reserve who has played in at least 50 percent of their school's matches (exhibitions do not count) while holding a 3.50 or higher GPA. The student-athletes must be a sophomore and have completed one full year at their current school.
