ST. LOUIS - Missouri State tennis'
Amy Henning has been recognized by the Missouri Valley Conference as one of its 12 winners of its spring 2025 State Farm Good Neighbor Award, the league
announced Wednesday.
The senior from Stellenbosch, South Africa has made the MSU Athletic Director's Honor Roll five times during her time as a Bear. She has also made the Dean's List four times and is a three-time Maroon and White Scholar-Athlete.
Henning has worked on numerous community service initiatives with Ozarks Food Harvest and Convoy of Hope. She has volunteered at the Springfield Community Gardens and the Discovery Center. On campus, Henning has been a part of the Bears Leadership Institute.
She is majoring in Nutrition and Dietetics and will be graduating Magna Cum Laude.
To honor the achievements of exceptional student-athletes, the Missouri Valley Conference created the State Farm MVC Good Neighbor Award in 2007. Commissioner Jeff Jackson has named twelve student-athletes from around the conference as the honorees for the 2024 fall season.
To be eligible for the award, the student-athlete must be in good academic standing, must demonstrate good citizenship through good sportsmanship and significant community service, and must participate in a sport, during the season of recognition. The Valley will recognize 12 student-athletes three times annually (Fall, Winter, Spring), for a total of 36 honorees. Institutions select their State Farm MVC Good Neighbor Award honorees.
