The Bears were off and running when Rodriguez led off the game with a double and scored from second on a Nivens sac fly into deep foul territory in left. Greer added a two-out double and scored on a Stewart single to quickly make it 2-0.
Nivens doubled and scored on a

Aside from the third inning, Eddington allowed only one runner to reach safely, and left with a 6-2 lead after Gollert added a two-run homer in the fourth and Robertson tacked on a run-scoring single in the top of the sixth.
The Red Wolves cut MSU's lead in half with the aid of two walks, three wild pitches and single in the sixth, and the score remained at 6-4 the rest of the way as the bullpens yielded little in the final three innings.
