Missouri State women's soccer (11-1-5, 6-0-3 Missouri Valley Conference) will close out its regular season on the road at Evansville (1-5-9, 1-2-6 MVC) at noon on Sunday at Arad McCutchan Stadium in Evansville, Indiana.
With only one game left in the regular season for the Bears, they have a chance to clinch their first ever MVC regular season championship. MoState is in second place in the conference standings with 21 points. Drake leads the conference with 22. The Bears cannot finish below second place.
Sunday's road match is the 35th meeting between the Bears and the Purple Aces.
Evansville leads the series 15-11-8 all-time. The last time these teams met, the Bears ended up victorious with a 1-0 win (9/18/2022).
MoState's record at UE is 4-8-3 with the Bears and Aces drawing the last time MSU made the trip out (10/28/2021). The Bears have not lost at Evansville since 10/29/2015 when the Purple Aces won 1-0.
Missouri State is the last team in the MVC to be unbeaten in conference play with a 6-0-3 record during the conference season. The Bears also have the fewest losses this season of any MVC team with one loss (9/10 vs. Missouri).
