1) The Missouri State Bears (19-18, 3-6) will be on the road for the fourth time in the last five weekends when they visit Indiana State (21-11, 6-3) for a three-game set in Terre Haute. First pitch Friday is set for 1 p.m. Central, with noon Saturday and Sunday games to finish the series.

2) The Bears have collected 147 extra base hits in 37 games and rank in the top 41 nationally in batting average (41st - .298), slugging (20th - .506), on-base percentage (31st - .402) and scoring (31st - 8.0). Missouri State has scored 10-plus runs in a game 12 times and five or more runs in an inning 16 times this season.

3) Missouri State has hit five or more home runs in four games this season, has five different players with a multi-homer game, and has hit back-to-back long balls on five occasions.

4) Senior Dakota Kotowski ranks 4th nationally with 19 home runs and 2nd with 0.51 homers per game. He hit his 10th home run on March 20 in MSU's 18th game of the season. Only Jason Hart has reached double figures in fewer games, hitting his 10th in game 16 of the 1998 campaign. Kotowski was named the MVC and Collegiate Baseball Player of the Week on April 25.

5) Missouri State has turned 32 double plays on the year to rank 39th nationally in total DPs and 27th in per game average at 0.86.

6) The Bears are hitting .324 and average 4.7 runs per game against opposing relievers. Missouri State has scored more runs than games played in the fourth, fifth, seventh and eighth innings this season.

7) Missouri State leads Indiana State 76-49 in the all-time series with a 30-20 record in Terre Haute. In their last visit Indiana State, the Bears won 4-3 and 5-4 and lost 6-4 in a March 30-31, 2018 series.

8) In 16 true road games this season, Missouri State is hitting .303 and slugging .543 with 34 home runs and an 8.69 scoring average.

9) Head coach Keith Guttin picked up his 1,300th career victory on April 13, 2021 at Missouri. Guttin's troops beat the Tigers 7-5 in Columbia, and the 40th-year coach currently ranks third among active coaches and 18th overall with 1,328 career wins.
