Season Statistics
STILLWATER, Okla. – Missouri State's offense was limited by sixth-ranked Oklahoma State Tuesday in a 5-1 loss to the Cowboys at O'Brate Stadium.
The Bears (5-7) got a solo home run from
Dakota Kotowski – his conference-leading seventh of the season – to lead off the fifth inning, and doubles from
Mason Greer and
Will Duff, but were otherwise without a hit as five Cowboy (7-5) pitchers combined for 15 strikeouts.
Junior lefty
Reece Lang tossed five solid innings in the start, his only blip on the radar being three consecutive OSU hits in the third inning that put the home team ahead 2-0.
Kotowski's homer cut it to 2-1 in the fifth, and OSU added single runs in the sixth, seventh and eighth frames.
Duff and
Grant Wood each extended their streaks of reaching safely to 12 consecutive games in the contest.
The Bears are slated to begin an 11-game homestand Friday at 3 p.m. with the first of a three-game set with Arkansas State at Hammons Field.
