SPRINGFIELD - Missouri State women's soccer added two transfers for the 2023-24 campaign, head coach
Kirk Nelson announced today.
Transferring into MSU for the 2023-24 season is:
- Hailey Palmer • 5-8 • F • Jr. • Overland Park, Kan. • Blue Valley High / Texas Tech
- Maddie Schneiderhahn • 5-7 • D • So. • St. Louis, Mo. • Ursuline Academy / Miami (Ohio)
"We got stronger today," Nelson said. "With the signing of Hailey and Maddie, we have added two student-athletes that we project to come in and make an immediate impact both up top and in the backline. They are top-notch people, students and soccer players that will fit well with our family and philosophy. They come from quality programs, and we are extremely excited that they have decided to continue their careers here as Bears."
Hailey Palmer • 5-8 • F • Jr. • Overland Park, Kan. • Blue Valley High / Texas Tech
A transfer from Texas Tech, Palmer appeared in 11 games in two seasons for the Red Raiders, scoring two goals. In high school as a sophomore, Palmer scored 16 goals in 17 games for Blue Valley High and was named First-Team All-EKL and a Gatorade Player of the Year nominee. In club action, Palmer was the leading goal scorer every year in KC Athletics ECNL and was a two-time State Cup champion.
Maddie Schneiderhahn • 5-7 • D • So. • St. Louis, Mo. • Ursuline Academy / Miami (Ohio)
At Ursuline Academy, Schneiderhahn racked up five goals and 10 assists en route to a state championship during her junior year. As a senior, she recorded 20 points and was named the Missouri Class 3 Region 1 Player of the Year and a Girls United Soccer Coaches All-Central player. In club action, Schneiderhahn's team (St. Louis Scott Gallagher) won the ECNL North American Cup in 2019 after reaching the ECNL quarterfinals in 2018.
