The Bears will look to run their home record to 3-0 this season with matches against Oral Roberts (Thursday, 6 p.m.) and Louisiana Tech (Sunday, 1 p.m.). Attendance is free to all home games this season at Allison South Stadium. The match against Oral Roberts will be broadcast on ESPN3 with Don West and Corey Riggs on the call.

Quick Kicks
- After facing a 0-2 deficit early in the first half, Missouri State women's soccer rallied from behind to secure a 2-2 draw at Tulsa last Sunday. Anna Durnin (29') and Kennady Orlick (61') provided goals for the Bears. Grace O'Keefe tallied an assist on Orlick's goal.
- Kyli Jackson, Isabel Burke and Katherine Montgomery all played the full 110 minutes in the match. Jackson and Burke also played the full 110 minutes in the Bears' last double overtime match against Missouri Southern on Nov. 1, 2020.
- Through four matches O'Keefe leads MSU in scoring with five points on one goal and three assists. The Overland Park, Kan., native is tied for the Missouri Valley Conference lead in assists and has now tallied a goal or assist in all four matches this season.
- Offensively, Missouri State is averaging 10.67 shots a game and 6.33 shots on goal per contest. The Bears rank third in The Valley and 43rd nationally in shot accuracy, sending 59.4% of shots toward the net.
- In last Thursday's home opener, Missouri State picked up its first win of the season by defeating Arkansas State, 1-0. Kate Schroeder's goal in the seventh minute off an assist from Grace O'Keefe was the difference maker. Montgomery picked up the clean sheet, while making two saves in her first start of the season.
- The victory improved Missouri State to 15-11 all-time in home openers.
- With her goals against Arkansas State and Kansas City, Schroeder became the first Bear to score in consecutive matches since Orlick on Oct. 16 and 19, 2019. The senior is one of eight MVC players to score a game-winning goal and one of 10 with multiple goals this season.
- Head Coach Rob Brewer announced his retirement on Aug.18, which will go into effect at the completion of the season. Brewer started the Missouri State program in 1996 and has helped lead the Bears to NCAA Tournament appearances in 2000 and 2017, in addition to finishing in the top three of the Missouri Valley Conference standings 11 times. Brewer has helped mentor 109 all-conference selections and 82 academic all-conference honorees during his tenure and compiled a 220-202-56 record with the Bears.
- Jacqueline Baetz was selected to the preseason All-MVC first-team, while Durnin, Burke and Orlick all collected honorable mention preseason honors, the league announced Tuesday. The Bears four selections tied Loyola for the most representatives on the All-MVC teams.
- In the MVC preseason coaches' poll, Missouri State was picked fifth in the nine-team league garnering 38 points. Loyola was voted the preseason favorite for the fourth straight year. Illinois State came in second, Indiana State came in third and Valparaiso was picked fourth.
The Leader of the Bears
- Head coach Rob Brewer has presided over the Missouri State women's soccer program for the entirety of its 26-season history. Overall, Missouri State has produced a 221-202-57 record during Brewer's tenure. The 1999 Missouri Valley Conference Coach of the Year has produced 109 all-conference selections and 86 academic all-conference honorees. In 22 seasons as a program, his team has reached the MVC Tournament 20 times and has only six losing campaigns. The Bears reached the NCAA tournament in 2000 and 2017 under Brewer's guidance.
Protecting the Home Turf
- Missouri State has an all-time record of 133-69-22 (.643) at home. The Bears have posted winning records at home in 22 of their 25 campaigns, highlighted by 13-straight winning seasons at home from 2000-2013.
Bears From Abroad
- The Missouri State women's soccer features team three international players in the freshman class this season. Eyglo Thorsteinsdottir and Eydis Helgadottir are both from Reykjavik, Iceland, while Iraia Arrue is from Caracas, Venezuela. Thorsteinsdottir and Helgadottir are the second and third Bears in program history from Iceland while Arrue is the first Venezuela.
Built Some Bears
- The Missouri State coaching staff has developed quite a pipeline from St. Thomas Aquinas High School in Overland Park, Kansas in recent years as four alums are on the roster. Bella Bryson, Carly Raunig, Jackson, and O'Keefe all prepped for the Saints. All time, there have been eight Aquinas graduates to take the pitch for the Bears.

- Oral Roberts is currently 2-1-0 this season, with wins over Arkansas Pine Bluff (5-0) and Northwestern Oklahoma State (3-0).
- The Golden Eagles are coming off a 3-0 loss against Creighton on Sunday afternoon. The Blue Jays outshot Oral Roberts 25-11 overall and 12-4 in shots on goal.
- Pamela Caballeros (Sr., M, Quetzaltenango, Guatemala) leads the Oral Roberts offensive attack with nine points off four goals and one assist this season. Her four goals rank 11th nationally among all division one players.
- Offensively, the Golden Eagles are averaging 14.2 shots and 7.6 shots on goal per contest.
- Roger Bush is in his eighth season leading the Golden Eagles. Under his guidance, ORU has compiled a 64-63-13 mark and garnered 26 all-conference honors.
- Louisiana Tech is 2-2-0 on the season with wins over East Texas Baptist (9-0) and Louisiana College (4-0). In their last match on Aug. 27, the Lady Techsters fell to McNeese State, 2-0.
- Maci Geltmeier, Lauren Egubuloni, Anna Loftus and Josie Studer are tied for the team lead in goals with two apiece.
- LA Tech is led by Steve Voltz, who was named the interim head coach prior to the season. Voltz served as an assistant in 2020-21 after spending eight years as the head coach of Millsaps College in Jackson, Miss.
Series History
- Missouri State leads the all-time series with Oral Roberts, 10-9-4. The Golden Eagles took the last matchup on Sept. 16, 2018, by a score of 3-2 in Tulsa.
- The Bears are 28-17-8 all-time against current Summit League members.
- The all-time series record between Missouri State and Louisiana Tech is knotted up at 1-1-1. The Lady Techsters defeated the Bears, 1-0, in the last matchup on Sept. 29, 2018, at Allison South Stadium.
