SPRINGFIELD – Missouri State softball's series – and regular-season – finale against Evansville scheduled for today (May 8) has been canceled due to inclement weather in the Springfield area.  The game will not be made up.

The Bears took both games of the Friday doubleheader with a 1-0 win in 10 innings in game one and a 6-1 victory in game two.

As league play wraps up this weekend, MSU (25-16, 16-6 MVC) will await its final seeding for the Missouri Valley Conference Tournament scheduled for May 12-15 in Evansville, Ind.  The Bears came into today's contest No. 2 in the MVC standings.
