KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Three men's soccer players have been named NCAA Division I All-Americans as the United Soccer Coaches announced the prestigious postseason teams today. For the third-straight season, Kyle Hiebert and Josh Dolling earned the honor, while Kian Yari was named an All-American for the first time in his career.Â
Making his way onto his second-straight first-team was Hiebert, while Yari landed on the second team and Dolling earned a spot on the third team.Â
"This is three-straight seasons we have had multiple All-Americans, which is a fantastic statement of success of both the individuals and of their teammates," said head coach Michael Seabolt. We are very proud of these men."Â
Hiebert (La Salle, Manitoba, Canada) started 18 games this season, appearing in all 19 and clocking a team-high 1,625 minutes. He is the first-ever Missouri Valley Conference player to win three-straight Defensive Player of the Year awards. Earlier this week, he also became a finalist for the MAC Hermann Trophy award for the second-straight year and was named a first-team Senior CLASS Award All-American. Â
Yari (Manchester, England) earns All-America status after a standout junior campaign as part of the Bears' midfield. He started 17 games for MSU, and his decisive minutes resulted in Yari being named Missouri State's first-ever MVC Midfielder of the Year award. He led the team with eight assists this season and added two goals of his own.Â
Dolling (Liverpool, England) earns All-America status for the third-straight season as a veteran of the Bears' offense this season. The senior played the second-most minutes for MSU this season (1,572) appearing in every game. He recorded four goals during the Bears' 2021 campaign, assisting on six others. All his goals were game winners, as he extended his hold on the MSU record with 17 in his career. Â
All three players, along with teammates Aadne Bruseth and Michael Creek, also earned All-Region honors on Tuesday (Dec. 7). Their efforts boosted the team to their third-straight Missouri Valley Conference regular-season title, second-straight tournament championship and third-straight NCAA appearance. Missouri State finished the season with an overall record of 17-2, going undefeated in MVC play.Â
