SPRINGFIELD – The Missouri State women's tennis team continues its fall season this weekend when the Bears compete in the Missouri Valley Conference Individual Championships. This year's tournament will be hosted by Valparaiso University and will run from Friday, Oct. 8 through Sunday, Oct. 10.Â
"We are looking forward to the MVC Individuals this weekend and to another opportunity for us to play and compete against our conference opponents," said head coach Randall Knox. "We're looking forward to the challenge."Â
MSU is coming off its 2021-22 season opener where the team recorded its first doubles and singles victories of the season against a competitive seven-team field at the UCA Fall Invitational.Â
This weekend, Bears will compete against athletes from Bradley, Drake, Illinois State, Northern Iowa, Stony Brook and host Valpo.Â
The competition will include seven singles flights and three doubles flights over the three-days, including main and back draws for both. MSU's weekend lineup includes:Â
