No. 9 Men’s Soccer to Face Drake in Midweek Match

SPRINGFIELD – The No. 9 Missouri State men's soccer continues its season on Wednesday, Oct. 27 when the Bears travel to Drake. The midweek match will kick off at 3 p.m.

  • For the second-straight week MSU comes in at the No. 9 spot in the United Soccer Coaches Top-25.MSU cracked the Top-10 two weeks ago before moving up to the ninth position last week. In the Top Drawer Soccer Top-25, the Bears moved up two spots to No. 8, while staying at No. 8 in College Soccer News' Top 30. MSU is also No. 21 in NCAA RPI.
  • Josh Dolling scored MSU's game-winning goal against Evansville on Saturday, Oct. 23. The senior's first goal of the season gives him the Missouri State men's soccer record for game-winning goals, with 14.
  • 2019-present, lands them at the top of Division I in the NCAA over Georgetown (.875), New Hampshire (.867), Washington (.820) and Marshall (.806).
  • Since their lone loss to Tulsa on Sept. 3, the Bears have gone on a 10-game winning streak, outscoring opponents 20-5. MSU now holds the top spot in the nation for the longest active win streak (10) and third in the NCAA for longest active home win streak (11).
  • Goalkeeper Michael Creek has helped MSU to four of its shutouts this season. The senior registered three saves against Evansville on Oct. 23 to help keep the Bears undefeated in the MVC.
  • Missouri State boasts the 25th-best shutout percentage in the nation with six total shutouts on the season (.462), sharing the spot with FIU. 
  • MSU currently is tied for 3rd in the nation for winning percentage. The Bears boast a win-loss percentage of .923 along with the University of Washington.
