Ninth-Ranked Men's Soccer Begins Two-Game Road Trip

SPRINGFIELD – The No. 9 Missouri State men's soccer team continues its season Saturday, Oct. 23 when the Bears travel to Evansville, Ind. to take on the Purple Aces. The conference matchup will kick off at 5 p.m.

In the College Soccer News' Top-30 and Top Drawer Soccer's top-25 the Bears •  Ninth-ranked Missouri State boasts the 25th-best scoring offense in the nation after 12 matches in the 2021 season. The Bears have scored 26 goals and are averaging 2.17 per game. made a huge jumps to the No. 8 and No. 10 spots.
  •  Over the last three seasons (2019, 2020, 2021-present) Missouri State leads the nation in overall winning percentage. The Bears percentage of .902 from 2019-present, lands them at the top of Division I in the NCAA over Georgetown, New Hampshire, Washington and Clemson.
  • Since their lone loss to Tulsa on Sept. 3, the Bears have gone on a nine-game winning streak, outscoring opponents 19-5. MSU is 2nd in the nation for the longest active win streak (9) and second for longest active home win streak, as well (11). 
  • Kian Yari is tied for 15th in the nation for assists per game. The junior midfielder has seven assists through 12 games (.58) and shares the top-15 spot with three other NCAA players.
  • The Bears' goal differential is tied for No. 17 in the nation. MSU has scored 26 goals this season only allowing nine, good for a differential of 17.

  • Four of the Bears victories this year have been come-from-behind wins, scoring their first goal after their opponent strikes first.
