Tennis Bears Host SEMO and Kansas City in Weekend Contests

SPRINGFIELD – Missouri State's tennis team welcomes Southeast Missouri and Kansas City in the Bears' third home weekend in the past month, beginning with a Friday evening (March 6) match versus SEMO at 7 p.m. before continuing Sunday (March 8) against Kansas City at 10 a.m.

MSU broke a three-game slide with a dominant 4-3 decision over Saint Louis last Friday. The Bears won the opening four points and never looked back, handing the Billikens its sixth-consecutive loss. Mara Presot logged her first win of the spring in a straight-set 6-1, 6-4 decision, while Alye Darter and Taylor Shaw chipped in the final two singles points for the dominant victory.

The Bears hold a 3-6 record heading into the two-match weekend.
