Flynn Named MVC Performer of the Week

St. LOUIS – Missouri State volleyball junior Amelia Flynn was selected Tuesday as a Missouri Valley Conference Performer of the Week, presented by Libman. The league is recognizing top performers each week across all participating sports during its limited schedule this fall.

Flynn has team-highs of 16 kills and 11 digs in Missouri State's 3-1 victory over Central Arkansas Saturday at Hammons Student Center. The outside hitter from Lake St. Louis, Mo., recorded her 24th career double-double in the match, hit .237, and was perfect in 27 service reception chances.

Missouri State finished its fall schedule with a 2-0 record and remains one of six unbeaten teams among the 40 Division I programs competing this semester. The Bears also lead the nation with 2.43 aces per set, while Flynn ranks among the nation's top 35 individuals in aces (20th - 0.43/set), kills (22nd – 3.43/set) and digs (35th – 3.43/set).
