COLUMBIA, Mo. -- Missouri State's tennis team capped a three-game road swing with a 4-0 setback at Missouri Friday afternoon at the Mizzou Tennis Complex.
The Bears (1-2) dropped the Nos. 2 and 3 doubles matches, putting the Tigers on the board 1-0 at the doubles break.
Alye Darter and
Ellie Burger held strong in No. 1 doubles, but ultimately went unfinished as Missouri claimed the point.
Missouri clinched the match with wins in the Nos. 2, 4 and 1 singles contests. When the dual ended,
Taylor Shaw was in her second set and
Claire Martin halted in the first.
The Bears are back in action for their first home match against Murray State Friday, Feb. 7 at Cooper Tennis Complex, with first serve slated for 7 p.m.
