Breiten Stamps History Book at Drake Relays

Day One Results
DES MOINS, Iowa – The Missouri State track and field team begins day one of the Drake Relays with a solid performance by the distance squad.

Putting her stamp on the record book, Grace Breiten posts the fourth fastest 3,000-meter steeplechase time in program history. The junior took second place overall and first place among collegiate runners in the event in 10:28.67, setting a new personal best by almost 30 seconds. Jordyn Capra took 19th place in the event, finishing in 11:14.64.

Four Bears competed in the 800-meter unseeded final, led by Kayla Fallis who took ninth place in 2:13.64. Madeline Saville marked a career best 2:15.34 17th place finish, followed by Paityn Howat (2:17.87) in 22nd and Jasmine Crawford (2:19.38) in 23rd.

Edna Dar and Erica Wollmering competed in the 1,500-meter dash, taking 14th and 15th respectively for the Bears. Dar recorded a season best 4:34.46, while Wollmering bested her career best at 4:34.54.

Day two of the Drake Relays will begin for the Bears at 10 a.m. with the long jump.
