Â
This year's regional competition is hosted by Oklahoma State at the OSU Cross Country Course with 34 teams set to compete in the six-kilometer race, including six fellow Missouri Valley Conference teams (Bradley, Loyola, Illinois State, UNI, Drake, and Southern Illinois).
Â
Coach

Â
Grace Breiten has led the Bears in scoring in five of the six meets this season, placing 29th with a time of 21:51.5 at the Pre-Nationals (Oct. 19) in the lone six-kilometer race of the 2019 regular-season campaign. Sophomore
Edna Dar shaved almost 10 seconds off of her personal best six-kilometer time from last year's NCAA Regionals at the Pre-Nationals meet, running a 22:34.4 to place 56th. This will be the third regional meet for senior
Erica Wollmering after she was the third MSU runner to cross the finish line in the 2018 race.

31 teams and 255 total runners will advance to the 2019 NCAA Division I Cross Country Championships on Saturday, Nov. 23 in Terre Haute, Ind. The top-two teams in the nine regional races receive an automatic bid to the championship race while the 13 remaining slots are filled with at-large teams selected by the NCAA Division I Cross Country Committee. Additionally, the top-four individual runners in each regional that are not on an advancing team will go on to qualify for the championships. The final two participants are selected at-large by the committee. Â
