FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – The Missouri State track and field team set multiple personal bests at the Arkansas Invitational, here on Friday.
Sidne' Williamson led the way for the Bears with a first place finish in the long jump. Williamson extended her personal best for the second straight meet, with a 5.93-meter leap.
Chicago Bains came in third place in the 60-meter hurdles with a new season best, 8.86.
Olivia Ott (9.31) and
Tomi Bamigbade (9.37) checked in at seventh and eighth place respectively.
Multiple personal bests were set in the 200-meter, led by
Taryn Smiley, who finished in 10
th with a 25.19 time. Bamigbade, set a season best 25.69 13
th place finish, while Ott (26.40) and Bains came in 17
th and 19
th individually, with new personal bests.
Smiley also set a new season best time in the 60m, with a 7.62 ninth place finish. Bamigbade (7.84) and Bains (8.09) also added season highs in the event.
In the mile,
Grace Breiten took 10th place with a personal best 5:06.76 time, while
Erica Wollmering finished in 11th with a 5:11.90 race.
Jordyn Capra earned a 5:21.37, 14th place finish to round out the Bears mile runners.
Missouri State will carry on with the indoor season by traveling to Terre Haute, Ind. for the Sycamore Team Invitational (Jan. 19).
