CEDAR FALLS, IOWA –
Kennady Orlick's go-ahead goal in the first half helped solidify the Missouri State's women's soccer team's (7-6, 1-1 MVC) 1-0 shutout against Northern Iowa here Saturday afternoon, marking the Bears' first conference win of the season.
Â
The Bears' offense threatened early with
Jordan Eickelman,
Kayleigh Putnam, and

Â
Orlick would be the lone scorer in the contest at the 23-minute mark, bouncing the long distance shot off the post to put the Bears ahead 1-0. The goal marked her fourth game-winner of the season, and she currently ranks 25
th nationally in go-ahead scoring.
Â
Northern Iowa (4-5-2, 0-2 MVC) would clear 14 shots in the match, but goalkeeper

Â
This is the fifth time this season Missouri State has shut-out its opponent.
Â
"It was a good team effort in a tough place to get a win," said head coach
Rob Brewer. "Our defense was outstanding throughout the entire 90 minutes, and I am looking forward to being back on our home turf next weekend."
Â
