ST. LOUIS -- Missouri State sophomore Grace Breiten was honored as the Missouri Valley Conference Female Cross Country Athlete of the Week for the second time this season, Tuesday afternoon.

Breiten ran a 17:39.6 five-kilometer race at the Chile Pepper Festival Saturday. Her time at the meet earned her 13^th place out of 400 plus runners and sits in the program's top-20 all-time. Breiten's 5K performance was also the best in the MVC on the weekend.

The sophomore paced the Bears, helping the squad finish fourth among DI teams and sixth overall.
