SPRINGFIELD -- The Missouri State women's cross country team prepares for the Missouri Southern Stampede, the five-kilometer race will take place on the Tom Rutledge Cross County Course in Joplin, Mo., starting at 8:30 a.m.
The Bears will send 16 runners to Joplin, including
Grace Breiten,
Jordyn Capra,
Erica Wollmering and
Paityn Howat who all finished in the top-15 two weeks ago at the J.K. Gold Classic.
Missouri State opened up the season strong in Wichita, Kan. on Sept. 1. The Bears were led by Breiten who ran a personal best 14:33.5 (4K), finishing in fourth place overall. MSU finished the meet in third place with 56 points and five top-25 finishes.
