SPRINGFIELD – The Missouri State men's soccer team draws 1-1 with Cal State Fullerton, after a 110 minute battle, Monday night at Betty and Bobby Allison South Stadium.

The Bears defense was in control throughout the match, limiting CSF to just seven shots on the day.
Following a foul call on the Titans,
Aadne Gikling Bruseth lined up for a free kick at the 34
th minute. Bruseth lobbed the ball over the defenders to score his first goal as a Bear.

The next 50 minutes showcased a strong resistance by the Bears. Holding CSF to just two shots, while racking up seven of their own.

th minute, Cal State Fullerton's Bass Sarr deflected a serve from Alex Juarez to tie the score and send the match into overtime. Â

The two 10 minute overtime periods saw three total shots taken between the two teams with none finding the back of the net.

The Bears hit the road to match up against Omaha on Friday Aug. 31 and Mercer on Sept. 7. MSU will return home on Sept. 10 to take on Santa Clara at 7 p.m.
