SPRINGFIELD – Senior
Jessica Allen represents the Missouri State cross country and track and field team on the Google Cloud Academic All-District six team, as announced by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) on Tuesday (May 29).
Allen paced the Bears in the Missouri Valley Conference Cross Country Championship where she finished in third place overall. Claiming All-MVC honors with a 17:22.06 5K time. Allen also earned All-Region honors, first for MSU since 2010, a new personal best time and the third fastest 6K in school history (20:47.8).
During the MVC Outdoor Championship, Allen took All-MVC honors in the 10,000-meter run, finishing in second place with a personal best time of 36:14.14.
Allen also claimed Elite-17 honors at the cross country championship and outdoor track, along with MVC Scholar athlete accolades and USTFCCCA All-Academic individual team status.
Off the field Allen holds a 3.98 grade-point average in Cell and Molecular Biology.
To qualify for the Google Cloud All-District team, a nominee must hold a cumulative 3.30 grade point average and must have reached sophomore athletic and academic standing.
