SACRAMENTO, Calif.  – Sprinter Asha Cave ran in the 200-meter dash prelims for the Missouri State track and field team, during the second day of the 2018 NCAA West Regional, at Hornet Stadium.
 
Cave took on the 200m event, marking a 23.98 time to finish in 33^rd place. The junior was a quarter of a second away from earning a trip to the NCAA Championship.  
 
Jamilah James will contend in the triple jump for the Bears on Saturday, at 6:30 p.m. CT.
