Day One Results
PITTSBURG, Kan. –The Missouri State track and field team recorded strong performances on the first day of the 3
rd Annual Indoor Gorilla Classic here on Friday.
Chelsey Linton earned a new personal best in the long jump, with a 5.46-meter leap. Besting her previous length by almost a meter. Linton also finished seventh in the 60-meter hurdles (9.03), qualifying for tomorrow's final and setting a new personal record.Â

Brittany McPike tossed a 17.51-meter weight throw to earn third place. McPike's mark came on her third attempt of the day.
On the track,
Asha Cave earned a new PR in the 200-meter dash with a 24.46 second time. Cave finished in fourth place by less than half a second.

Also qualifying for tomorrow's finals are
Isa Videler in the 60-meter hurdles, along with Divina Henery,
Timeka Jordan and
Amalie Gunn in the 60-meter dash.

Missouri State will start the second day of the Gorilla Classic with the 3,000m run at 11:25 a.m. on Saturday.
