SPRINGFIELD – The Missouri State men's soccer team moved back into the win column, after a 1-0 shutout over visiting Gonzaga, Saturday night at Betty and Bobby Allison South Stadium.
The Bears wrapped up non-conference action, undefeated at home and 8-1-4 against non-Valley teams.

Scoring his ninth goal of the season and the sole goal on the night,
Josh Dolling found the back of the net off a double assist by
Conor Ingram and
Jake Laird on the left side of the pitch. In the 28
th minute of action, Dolling got free from the Bulldog defense to score the decider.

The Bears had multiple good looks at goal throughout the match, recording 17 shots in the 90-minute game and aiming a season-high eight attempts at goal.

Starting his first game in goal for the Bears,
Gage Steiner held up the shutout and added two saves. The Bears defense held Gonzaga to five shots, including just one in the second half.

The Bears have two remaining regular-season matches, both in Missouri Valley Conference play, first traveling to Drake on Saturday, Oct. 27 at 7 p.m., before ending the regular season at home against Central Arkansas, Saturday, Nov. 3 at 6 p.m.
