CHICAGO, Ill. – The Missouri State men's soccer team drops its first match of the season Saturday night on the road, as the Bears undefeated season and third longest unbeaten streak in the nation, came to an end in a 1-0 loss to Loyola. The Bears fell to 7-1-4 overall and 2-1-1 in Missouri Valley Conference play, dropping to second place in the league standings.

A competitive first half saw three total shots between the two squads with Loyola directing one at goal. Â
Conor Ingram recorded the lone shot in the first 45 minutes of action for the Bears.

The deciding goal was netted in the 61
st minute of action by Loyola's Chase Wright over the Bears defense.

The Bears recorded a season low shot attempts with five on the day, but still out shot Loyola, who only attempted four. Ingram led the way for MSU with two tries.

The Bears will look to bounce back at home against Gonzaga on Saturday, Oct. 20 at 7 p.m., as part of Missouri State's Homecoming celebrations.
